My Career

Software Engineer · Project Manager

Applus+ IDIADA

During this period, I led and contributed to several ADAS and Autonomous Mobility projects, working across system evaluation, computer vision, project management, and tool development.

Evaluation of a Client's Perception System

I developed and coordinated a complete ADAS EuroNCAP, Regulation UN152 and ASEAN NCAP testing program for an AI-based camera system, contributing from the earliest client interactions—defining KPIs, planning validation strategies, and aligning expectations—through to implementation and delivery. As part of the software team, I helped configure the test environment, enabling sensor data capture and automated test triggering using technologies such as CAN, C++, Python, and Linux.

To improve communication with the customer, I designed and built a reporting tool that visualized test results and analytics using React, HTML/CSS, and Python—significantly enhancing how insights were presented and increasing the impact of the project.

European Projects

Beyond my technical work, I served as Project Manager for two European initiatives in the autonomous mobility domain, AITHENA and AIGGREGATE. Within the AITHENA project, I was responsible for leading a Work Package, coordinating multiple partners across Europe and driving the consortium toward the successful completion of key milestones.

I have been developing and teaching various programming courses, primarily focused on Python. My teaching portfolio includes:

Python course

R&D Engineer

NEPHOS Lab · Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV)

During my time at the NEPHOS Lab, I focused on analyzing commercial radar systems and developing real-world applications. My work centered on two main automotive projects working with a Texas Instruments Radar:

Occupancy Detection System

I developed a radar-based occupancy detection system for the interior of vehicles, leveraging Texas Instruments radar technology.

This project formed the thesis of my Final Telecommunications degree and was recognized with the "Future of Telecommunications" Award by the Official College of Telecommunication Engineers (COITT) in the category of Telecommunications Systems Engineering.

The results were also published in the IEEE Sensors Journal as the paper "Vehicle Occupancy Detector Based on FMCW mm-Wave Radar at 77 GHz"

Hand-Gesture Detection System

Designed and implemented a hand-gesture recognition system using Matlab and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The results of this project were published under the title "In-Vehicle Monitoring Based on a Low-Cost mm-Wave Radar at 60 GHz" at the IEEE IMOC 2023 conference.
